Since graduating from university with an MA in Business Administration (specialization Logistics), Maarten has gained 21 years of versatile experience in consulting. He has been active in several branches such as high tech, chemicals, FMCG, machinery and maintenance where he further developed himself in every areas of the supply chain.

He accomplished significant performance improvements and high savings in purchasing, production and distribution. The projects vary from the Logistic network (re)design, outsourcing, production planning, spent analyses, etc. Starting his career as a consultant, he subsequently became an implementation and interim manager, for instance at Unilever where he was responsible for European logistics. “My passion is to create enthusiasm and motivation for improvement within the whole team and leave the organization with real sustainable improvements.”

Besides his knowledge in the field of logistics, Maarten’s success is also due to his great skills as a project manager, team builder, structures approach and strategic perspective. He is an analytical, open minded and ambitious consultant. Maarten joined Riverland as a senior consultant in 2009 and is one of Riverland’s outsourcing experts.
