Jan Baak

Following his graduation as Master of Business Administration, Jan started his professional career as logistics manager at a security system company. In the following eight years he held positions as material manager, plant manager (both at an international cosmetic company) and interim manager. In 2000 he accepted a position as (interim) director at a food producer for two years. In this period Jan, amongst others, improved production, implemented new investments and outsourced parts of the production.

Since 2003 Jan has worked as an independent interim manager/consultant for corporations in the technical, food, flower-auction and construction industry. In different management positions he often made a change in organization by developing a new structure and implemented them on every (from operational to strategic) level. Jan: “Change is not enough. Improvement by change must be the goal and the result.”

In 2008 Jan joined Riverland as senior associate consultant responsible for complex logistics projects and performance improvement programs.

Welcome Dirk!

We are very pleased to welcome Dirk Hofkens as Senior Consultant of Riverland. Dirk is process driven, analytical, strong in people management and a skillful communicator. For the past two years he has worked as Senior Business Process Manager at the Medtronic EMEA HQ based in Heerlen. Prior to that, he held positions at several companies ranging from Logistics Manager and Supply Chain Manager Europe to Supply Chain Director Benelux and Global Supply Chain Project Manager. He will start his first Riverland assignment within a few weeks.

Strategic decisions need to be right the first time around. The two managing partners of Riverland realize this all too well. With their ambitious plans in mind, they decided to ask advice from senior executives who have been there & done it. George Devlin and Franz-Josef Vogelsang, renowned for their impressive track records and decades of experience in the International Supply Chain arena, accepted the invitation; as a result of which Riverland is now proud to present its Advisory Board.

More challenging and international assignments, a growing global customer base, a rapidly expanding team and, above all, ambitious plans.

Logisitiek Manager van het Jaar 2010

Ook dit jaar was Riverland weer sponsor van de Logistiek Manager van het Jaar verkiezing, die op 4 maart jl. in de van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam plaatsvond. Op onze stand konden bezoekers genieten van een heerlijk kopje verse koffie van onze barista. De workshop die Riverland in samenwerking met Jan Lammers gaf mocht ook op een goede opkomst rekenen. Jan Lammers had voor de gelegenheid ook de Jumbo Truck waar hij de Dakar Rally mee reed meegnomen. Riverland heeft een bijzonder goede dag gehad en wil alle bezoekers danken voor hun komst.
