Riverland is committed to achieve excellent performance of your Supply Chain. Successful change and lasting results are the criteria of success of our efforts and of our support to your organization.
Because every organization is different we do not believe in a rigid standard approach and prefer a pragmatic working together relationship. However there are a number of elements that are typical for the Riverland way of working, and they are in broad brush statements described below.
QuickScan
We tend to use a QuickScan not only for project scoping and objective setting, but also to assess the extent to which your organization meets all pre-requisites and conditions to achieve the targeted results of your Supply Chain improvement ambition. Such a QuickScan typically takes between 5 and 10 working days and is often done on a no cure no pay basis. You can expect the result of the QuickScan to be a crisp and comprehensive high level plan of targeted results, measures, scenario’s, priorities, resources, and actions to be taken to ensure all prerequisites for a successful program are in place.
Time minimization
Our team members will only be present in your organization if they can be of real value add. We will work in partnership with your leaders and your teams to coordinate our presence and schedule the work, but we will not charge you for unproductive time or for activities that are not geared to achieve the targeted results of your Supply Chain improvement program.
Cornerstone Assessment
As said, we will ensure that all prerequisites and conditions for a successful Supply Chain improvement program are in place. From the very beginning of the program. In fact, we will probably advise you not to start with the program until they are in place. And, in many cases we will assist you with building these - as we call them - Cornerstones:
- Leadership: the extent to which clear strategic direction is in place and resources and budget are prioritized
- Infracompetence: the extent to which organization, systems and physical infrastructure can support the program
- Situational fit: the extent to which the goals of the program are realistic and fit to the maturity of the existing Supply Chain
- Alignment: the extent to which other functions of the organization as well as upstream and downstream partners in the Supply Chain are aligned to support the Program.
Change Management
Our change management services include the full range of awareness, readiness, coaching, training and teambuilding as well as personal development programs, assisting your Supply Chain leaders and their teams to truly understand, support and take ownership for the changes, the new processes as well as the responsibility for the operational performance levels against agreed targets. Emphasis of the change management activities of our team will be on developing self-learning and self-development skills.
Project Management and governance
Naturally, we use professional but pragmatic tools for managing the planning, budget and progress of the program. You can count on a disciplined approach with transparent reporting and well documented follow up on agreed actions and escalations. We will finalize each project with a comprehensive project documentation package, a project evaluation both immediately after project completion and after six to twelve months.
